Quarles Development, Tring Gardens

Havering College of Further and Higher Education is due to move from the current Quarles campus and, as a result, an exciting redevelopment of this site is proposed.

Located off Tring Gardens in Harold Hill, the site provides an opportunity for a characterful residential development which is in keeping with the local area. This would be an attractive development with a mix of new homes within landscaped green spaces.

Quarles Development

Approximately 140 new homes could be delivered - including affordable homes - providing an opportunity for young people to get onto the housing ladder, as well as apartments and houses suited to growing families who want to live in a high quality green space. Parking will be provided in line with the Council’s standards.

Ample green space for all to use is proposed on almost half of the site. This could include a play park, new planting, footpaths and places to sit and enjoy. We welcome your views about how we design this landscape and our emerging proposals.

As part of the development, we would also invest in transport, education and healthcare, which would be beneficial to new and existing residents. There is also an opportunity to open up and enhance the large open space at the rear of the site for the community.

This thriving new community would be of a high quality, complementing Harold Hill and we are keen to work with local people to ensure we deliver a locally-responsive, designled development that creates a place we are all proud of.
